mourning light casting off the shadows

you’ve seen my shadows more

peering behind lattice like blinds

distorted glass and curtain tore

when will you give me grace a grain

to fill the depleted harvest fields 

that lay across the desolate land

to which friendship yields

can the vail part and hearts mend 

touching once more the breech

allowing Resurrection life to live

rising from fallen with love to teach
