Blogging is a Moving Meditation.

BLOGGING as a MOVING MEDITATION: Liminality's thin passage untangles as it weaves, fits in the ineffable nooks and crannies of my heart's prayer wall, like the cracks in pavement, mile markers on the road, windblown whimsical napkin poems written in eyeliner.

Christmas Eve @ DnA's

Here's a lil peek at Derek and Amy's at Christmas Eve Shin Dig......... i left out the dancing pictures, however Derek shirt so matched the rose colour pink of the Living Room.... twas sweet! So- since much of the pic's are a blur- that was mostly do to the fact that all the lights were MOVING and drew a bunch of people over to walk down the drive to get a closer look. Amy made some seriously yummy homemade pizza (would put Andrew to shame!) - and had some lovely noshes. I did make this Date, Ginger, Walnut, Flax and Scottish Whiskey Bread... that went over rather well. Derek and Amy got a HOOT outta the mega sized bottle of wine (with functional quick draw on the trigger wine opener with all the bells and whistles.) Jenna was dressed in this amazingly fancy blue gown.. - that looked amazing when Derek added the strobe lighting (yes, he did that and played some 80's 4/4 beat disco music- we had some on-lookers, and phil did open the door for them to get a better peek!) We sang carols at Midnight to welcome in Christmas day.... and shared some Friggin over the top Scottish Single Malt that Jenna got me as a Christmas present.!!! Now that was yummy.... not to mention the delish.. Mulled Wine and Wassail that Amy made!! John and Caroline were there... and John almost smoked us out with the Frankincense and Myrrh that i brought to get the scent of the Tabernacle.
My sister came over Christmas Day- which was a first in about 20 years that we've been in the same state... only bummer was i got a migraine from HELL.... and couldn't get off the couch..... it hit about 11 in the morning and didn't let up till about 20 hours later. - even 2 days later, i'm still not feeling up to par. Have not had a migraine in about 13 years... so i was NOT happy! Over all it was a good first Christmas in Austin..
Blessings ya all..... well see what the New Year brings.

Christmas Prep and 1st Day of Chanukah

It seems God's up to some big things......... as the saying goes, "Everything is bigger in Texas" ( i tend to think that ... it's a Freudian Ed - takes- a - Piss.. contest most days, but none the less) G-d doesn't have those "issues" thankfully! So i've posted 2 pics... one is.... OBVIOUSLY a Christmas tree that's in some posh hotel that Caroline and i sauntered into last thursday. We pretended we were guests there, and walked about like we owned the place for a bit! (yes, i pulled a Derek!) The other one... is the SECRET CHRISTMAS PRESENT that i got for Derek and Amy (AKA DnA).... it's a bottle of wine that is Mickey D's super-sized version. (note the scale next to a "normal" sized bottle) The name on the bottle of wine is "LIBERTY SCHOOL" Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles 2006- which is a larger than life prophetic utterance of what God wants to give us ... since we are Noble and Royal Heirs in this celestial Kingdom. I love the verse .... "Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty" 2 Corinthians 3:17.

It was a Costco special and my personal nic for that place of business is the "Nephilim Store" since it really is the Commercialism Giant of the land with Mega Sized everything. ( i don't want to think of the Carbon Footprint parts there...rather Sasquatchian i would presume) But... i like to buy in bulk cuz it saves some serious mullah and we have as a norm, more than just the two of us to feed. In any case, the bottle holds 4 bottles of wine in 1!!!!- more than a double portion of Blessing ... and that is the point.

G-d often speaks in symbols (see Derek's post @ the Bearable Light)--- and i soooo love that aspect of G-d!
Though Jesus came as a baby, it's kinda like the Tardis (bigger on the inside)- He held the G-d head in a form of vulnerability. Just like David and the Giant... (Nephilim) - David's authority in G-d is bigger than his earthly frame.

G-d's love is Bigger........... Bigger than our apparent issues, Bigger than our fears, Bigger than what we could ever imagine or think to behold. He is extravagant and lavishing in His unconditional love for us, and His desire is to see His creation, lavish back on Him and others in that type of scale.

So in this season of extreme - Think Big, Dream Big, Forgive Big, Love Big......... Be a symbol on the Earth.... it's a BIG Kingdom!

Doctor Who - Time Crash

Wonder what that would be like... to meet yourself in a different time and space... but we are eternal beings... bit of a head mash some days... but still..... i love paradoxes! Jesus is the biggest one... Angel of the Lord one minute, Saviour the next.. coming back again... the REAL TIME LORD!

Austin weather... ever changing!

So it was 74-75 degrees in the day, and by 5PM it dropped to 32 degrees! - and then we had snow. So i took pics cuz.... this is just a taste of how quick things change. I could say it comes close to human fickle hearts and that how it can go from warm and fuzzy to cold as ice. But i won't go there.... Just this Jersey girl was happy to see some white stuff land here and feeling the familiar of Northern Cold... and wishing to see the big Tree in Times Square! Perhaps... Perhaps..... we'll see.

Christmas Angst

I guess Holidays are hard for a lot of people, self included. Though God's blessed me with an amazing extended family of friends, it still is a difficult time. I know - i know ... it's za'posed to be all bells, lights and christmas carols ... and for the most part it is. Just that there seems to be that gnawing angst when family relationships are less than what they could be. Home has always been "where i hang my hat" so to speak, i left my home pretty young due to some shitty dynamics. I guess the holidays bring that back to surface, even though there has been a lot of heart healing along the way. But isn't that sorta the same on a Kingdom point of view... His kids still aren't getting along and have denominational issues. Getting every one in the same room can be tense and there can be some sibling rivalries and bickering. I do kinda wonder what Abba God thinks about the whole shin dig... well besides the point that i think God's still celebrating the Chanukah part of it... (we created the Christmas thingy) i've always wondered that if Christians would go back to celebrating Chanukah - we would have a 'lil more time to press into the season, rather than the build up to one big day, it could be more spread out, thus the love could be more spread about. My heart aches for all the broken relationships and spaces where hearts need a miracle touch. All the pressure of commercialism just adds to it... like their isn't enough already in life. I'm gonna press in a bit and touch what Austin holds as a new page to our journey. Hoping and praying that peace and joy sing louder than some of my hearts lament on other things. Shalom ya all

Thanksgiving fellowship.

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving... it really was a special time and the food was over the top (if i do say so myself) Amy cooked a HUGE Turkey and everyone brought something which was awesome! Felt good and rich with some really special people- John and Caroline, Brian and Whitney with their 3 boys, Amy and Derek, Paul and Jenna - (who is staying with us) Derek started things off by having everyone share a bit of bringing things to the table- which is a cool way of honoring each others part in the feast - i always love the way he brings in the choreography. All in all from 4pm to about 2am was rich and full- and i'm blessed.

Steve Taylor - Since I Gave Up Hope

Ha! ok a bit more of some brilliant lyrics...........
"life unwinds like a cheap sweater
but since i gave up hope i feel a lot better...
And the truth gets blurred like a wet letter....
but since i gave up hope i feel a lot better........"

So much for eggestential thought......

I Want To Be a Clone Lyrics

Ok so if you haven't ever heard of Steve Taylor... you've missed some of the 80's best in Christian Alternative... he's never been all that political correct in Church circles.. (THANK GOD)- but honestly, for some reason in all the POMO circles.. this could apply... could we have a go at new lyrics.... i might have to ponder it a bit... but..... that was my mind meanderings today............

Cool Nights -fireplace and a robe!

So this might just be more of a thought blog post than of much ta do about anything.... But today was the first time i actually had to put on a Jacket because the wind picked up and in came some well needed COLD.... not just cool.... but the Coldest breeze i've felt so far. Considering i will forever refer to our first summer in Austin as PURGATORY - or at least as much of my post catholic past would ever want to come close to it....... complete with wanting some heavy hitter intercessors to pray my arse out of it! I guess when i ponder, it felt like it in every sense of the word. Emotionally excruciating, oppressively hot, transitionally difficult with some of the blackest depression i've felt in years. (just being honest on the hard parts here) Thing is, God has been present and while there have been some painful places .... HE still speaks and is still Good and Still LOVING. Even in the places where there is death in life and life in death.

So i'm sitting by the fire in a soft robe, with windows open to still enjoy the cold night air. I don't often blog on the hard or painful parts... there is enough on the T.V. or in the papers to make one want to taste metal. And i've found even in the middle of it all HE doesn't change.

Listening to Graham Cooke at the beginning of this month was a refreshing pint of ALE. One of the things he said that tickled my fancy, was what God had told him some time ago......... HE said....... "Graham, you and I have some "irreconcilable differences" and I DON'T CHANGE." I laughed and smirked at the same time, because though God is often cheeky, He's never wrong.

I hold to an uncensored relationship with my Abba.... i don't pretend i'm fine or happy with how things are going... I've taken some deep consolation in reading how some of the Saints of old hashed stuff out with HIM. HE knows i'm human, and even takes great delight in it. It makes me cry at points when i know HE's said to me on more than one occasion, "Cathryn, even when your angry at ME, I KNOW that if I asked you to do something for ME, you would... that is why I do ask you to do the seemingly impossible, because I know you know ....you can't with out ME". And HE always says stuff like that with this beaming eye gaze and tickled grin on His face - especially when i'm looking back fuming with tears streaming down my cheeks.

Seems like an eternity ago, when i was 12, we were asked at this Jr. High youth group thing (thanks Mark Dail!) to pick a LIFE VERSE........ (may seem a lil churchy and contrived, but Mark Dail had a way with the genuine) Well the verse that came to my heart/spirit was 2 Cor. 12:9 "MY GRACE is sufficient for you, MY POWER is made Perfect in weakness".

Even after all these years, (and the years i was trying my damnedest to Avoid HIS voice) that never left my spirit and i knew some how He was gonna hold me to that Word.... because it was Living and Breathing in me.

The past year i've felt more frail, fragile, vulnerable, WEAK, unsure, unsafe, unloved and overwhelmed than perhaps anytime in the last 10 years or so........ and that's hard to say so openly. Yet, i've seen HIM do some of the most amazing things i've ever seen in my entire life. ----

I don't know what's harder to say.... all the stuff i've felt, and felt about myself.... or that HE still continues to say,

"cathryn, you amaze ME, I love drawing close to your hot fire of love, I love it when I see you gaze at someone with blue flame fire in your eyes because your angry at what the enemy has done to one that I love so dearly, I love your dry wit when your standing on a battlefield, I love the way you use My Sword in a fire fight, I love it when you continue to choose to love another even when you've been hurt or wounded. I love it when the tears pour from your heart over things that you know have hurt me, I love the way you love me even when your feeling so shattered and heart broken that breathing or wanting to continue breathing is the only choice. I love the way you refuse to give up on Hope, I love the way you have stood in Faith and Hope when another couldn't. I love the way you Worship ME even in the Storms, I love the way you have trusted ME even when it was hardest. I love the way I formed and fashioned you, and I'm not done. I Love you my precious warrior daughter."

well, i was just going to say that sometimes it's harder to say .... what HE says about me.... and well HE said listen and type..... and now i'm just weeping. I could have just copied and pasted it into my journal - but felt Him say "keep it real.... and keep it out there.... others need to ask ME what I love about them".

So Lord, have your will .... in ways i don't understand. amen.

Out and about....... with some good grub!

Well, Graham Cooke was in last weekend at "Church of the Hills" - (right around the corner!!!) and all i can say is he did more than punch the religious spirit on the nose. His focus was on seeing ourselves and others how we are seen from the Kingdom perspective. (which is quite the gander). Guess what i've loved about Graham (for about 16 years now... wow..) is he is always the encourager. He challenges Church thinking with Kingdom perspective - where we can get all caught up in "church" rather than seeing the bigger global and celestial picture. In that - is how Abba God is ravished over us, is our biggest cheerleader, lover, friend, and in hot wild passionate pursuit. Though, in balance, he's not all glory bumps about how the Body looks now in it's relating to each other. Graham's prophetic challenge is always to go farther and deeper into the heart of God, and higher and wider in His expression through us. - with this uncanny warfare ability that smashes anything that's in it's path that would keep His Kids from walking in their true identity. It blessed my heart so... as well as set me free from a few things. That's just it ... isn't it, the freedom part that just goes deeper.... the more land HE takes in our hearts, the more of His land we can share with each other in relationship.

With that, we are enjoying some special fellowship time with John & Caroline, - and the pic is one of the gifts that was waiting for them, after they came back over the pond, - We've had some fun watching them as they have opened their wedding goodies- and that is Selah (my dog) - trying out Mary's (their dog) camping tent! So they've gotten some camping equipment and the joke is .... (since they are looking for an apartment/ flat...) that if they don't find one, they can camp in Austin. Next Saturday, we are having a wedding celebration in our back yard... so we are planning the first big shin dig on this ground! Phil put up the Fairy Lights yesterday, and it's all warm and champagne like in sparkles. We're planning on keeping them up, but NOT in Red Neck fashion- for those of you who understand that reference.... "God bless their hearts".

We are making homemade pizza tonight (dough is rising atm)- complete with a prosciutto meat sauce, fresh mozzarella and fresh pesto from the basal in our mini garden. Hopefully the garden will be bigger next year, as we get to know the climate and soil potentials... but if your drooling a bit already, Phil is making his famous biscuits and gravy on Sunday. Caroline and John are part of the tribe that has not experienced this seriously gourmet tradition - handed down from Phil's mom! Derek says that Phil's biscuits and gravy is the standard which he lives by, in judging the quality of such Southern Traditions! Should be good... i'll try and take before and after shots of the plates, ---

Austin City Limit's and a few tid bits.......

Things are shifting with cooler weather (at least in early mornings and evenings)- still getting up there during the day....
Got to go to Austin City Limits Festival on Sunday with Derek and Amy. (which was such a blessing) Felt like after 4.5 months being here, we were coming out of the big transition... and now, instead of getting our "feet wet"- we were standing on some seriously dusty field. NO JOKE, i think i inhaled at least a few miles of top soil in the form of dust. People were looking like masked bandits with the bandanna's around their mouths. LOL i never really did understand why they did that in Westerns... so "clocked that"- for future endeavours -
I really enjoyed myself, despite the "dust bowl" in the hot end of summer haze. We got to hear some pretty cool music... One of the best was MIKE FERRIS........ who has a set of PIPES that will basically knock you out of your seat. Blues/Rock/Soul hardly describes the intensity and passion that he caries. Derek and i got to speak with him briefly, - and he has such a tender and humble heart, yet when he's performing, it's got Power and Authority on it! Really rare combo.... It felt like a revival with out the usual religious cheesy on it. Very refreshing blast of water- to the point of in the Spirit it felt like a fire hose (that usually take a few to even wield) came on full blast and hosed us all down in HIM! YA GOTTA CHECK OUT THE TUNES FOLKS- seriously!

On other fronts, John and Caroline came in yesterday, and we will be hosting for about a month as they get planted here. They are really precious with sights set on Kingdom stuff. We had a thick time of sharing - complete with cheese, vino, chocolate cake.... fruits and veggies and some good pasta last night. It was rich and full.......

Graham Cooke will be here next weekend -- I LOVE his stuff....... He's doing a mini conference at Church of the Hills, which is only a stones throw away from our door. So Brian and Whitney are coming in...... and looks like we'll have a small group going to hear him Friday, Sat and Sunday. Graham came in a few years ago, in NC, when Jonathan Helser's 1st CD "the Awakenings" was birthed. Graham has one of those Daddy heart Prophetic Anointing - that to me ... has such a rich teaching gift, with prophetic insight and wisdom. I've always walked away from his teaching and ministering with new levels of freedom and permission to walk further.... ( i'm really stoked about it) Looking forward to blogging on it later.

One of the most profound things that the Lord said to me....... a few years back now... when i was questioning (as i often do)- but it i was after some debate on The Cross, and why His death - and how He died- looked and was so unbearable in the torturous reality.

He said, "The Cross was just as much of My Glory - and if it wasn't for the forgiveness I extended from it, - the Resurrection couldn't have been possible" -
and i realized in that moment, He brought me some how, back in time, to that point........ when He extended His forgiveness --"Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." That the reality in that moment, was that act of forgiveness broke every bond - that if He didn't forgive, from that place, He couldn't have been raised from the dead. That He would have been bound, and thereby, we would have been bound- by that same sin......... In that - when we forgive, even when it's unjust, unbearable, unrighteous, unholy, - even in excruciating pain- We hold the keys that once held us captive, but we then release that power over another- to set them free. Resurrection power is not a one time event, even as Paul says, "that we die to ourselves daily"- if that is truth, then the Resurrection is daily too. when we die to ourselves, it allows us to Live deeper in His Resurrection power.

I'm not saying it's easy, for this world is an unjust court- then we have the court in our heads- and all our inner debate on worth, validity, experience and lack. I've stammered at God before, with the statement, "well Your God, and i'm not"- so how can i extend that type of selflessness - and He reminded me that "the mystery of the Gospel" is that He is living (conquered hell, death and the grave)- actually living with and IN us. Even in the most feeble attempt, when i want to pick back up, from the foot of that cross, what i just laid down--- even in the most humanist of endeavoring - He is able to use the weakness of our often fickle hearts- because His grace is sufficient and made perfect.

Thing is - I'm a Judges daughter x's 2- My earthly dad was a Judge and sat on the bench for 46 years - "Workman's Compensation Judge"- which is a bit prophetic enough, but my dad is fond of saying, "I didn't go into Criminal Law, because there was too many criminals in the Law"- He came to know Jesus in a near death experience and learned of Grace in a profound way- taught me it.... and it cost a lot.... Some of it i know the price daily, and though it's been excruciating at times, i wouldn't change it. Often times forgiveness is a daily walk, i can think of so many reasons that justify my holding on to anger- and often times i do..... but then the reality of "what was done - was done"-- the more i hold it, the less i can extend myself to the Unconditional, relentless Love of ABBA....... He didn't hold back. The only thing i want to hold to is the Hem of His garment and His irrevocable promises, that are mine in and By Him.

I mostly wrote this out- to remind myself.............. He said to "call Me to remembrance"- and even in that..... He didn't just remember me, HE knew my unformed substance. It's good to remember- the price, the cost, the Holy Fire that is only kindled by the Living Power of Resurrection.

Addison Road - Hope Now

This really touches me.... ---------- so many things i'm thinking right now.... so many Heart spaces that need touching.... So many promises still in the wait..........

So i had this idea.... to update info on my blog...

Well with all the packing and moving (twice in the last 4 months!)- i thought it was time to tidy up my blog a bit and add/delete a few things. So if you take a gander to your Right- and down a bit... I've updated:

(Tribe- Family of Friends)- because some of my dearest are singers/songwriters/musicians.... you will note (no pun intended) the word MUSIC next to their names. Thankfully, some of 'em, have added a MySpace/Music - so now it's pretty easy to hear what is up and what is new. (i've been severely blessed by being able to hear most of 'em since they started jamm'in out- and many who were once in that "bad hair cut" stage of their musical endeavours - which is a Stephen Roach quote, though i don't ever recall him in that light, even when he was banging on his plethora of instruments at wee hours in the morning, (while i was trying to sleep i might add!)- thankfully, i'm a night owl- but at that point i had to be at work pretty early. (since then i've modified my working hours to accommodate my late night rambling and musing) So if i could be a Elbow here... go grab some tunage - and if you like it.... (or love it)- bless them by sending them some MOOLA and buy a new CD!

The other's on that list, are dear ones as well, and keep a on line journal of sorts- well worth the gander. Of course, mostly everyone is on FaceBook these days, my friend Amy Chapman calls that "the worlds biggest Front Porch"- which i would whole-heartedly agree. - however this stuff is a bit more in their Kitchen over a good pot of coffee.

I've also added "NOSHING ON BLOGS" section - Just a fast reference as to who i read. (some more than others)- but it was a way to "get the word out" on some folks that are pondering and laboring in Kingdom Fields. (and i promise to add more links in my posts- thank you Andrew- or at least point over to the right side of the page)

Well the Blog is a work in progress, as is our lives. I'm pondering a collective blog with a few of my "BodyWorker" friends.. from a Medical/ holistic / arts space- it's bounced a round long enough in the back of my head and is causing my fingers to chomp at the bit - However - that is a more personal interest thang and in discussion with some of my fellow "laying on of hands and often elbows" crew- it might prove interesting. There is so much from the New Age aspect of that.... that we have been discussing the Spirit space and Dunimus aspects of Skilled Touch with prayer. More on that later, hopefully.

shalom ya all,
to the deepest places!

YIKES... IKE IS HEADING OUR WAY!

Well that is the picture of the traffic heading outta the path of Hurricane IKE- so we are not in the direct path of the Eye of the Storm - but we are expecting to get high winds - torrential rains - and hopefully NOT tornado's! Thing is - it's a big storm front - and affects a lot of states- and can some huge effects here in Austin.
I had a dream about 2 weeks or so back- where in it i was speaking to my friend William, and found myself saying... IN THE DREAM- "well the Lord says there is a hurricane/storm coming and it's NOT gonna miss"- referring to Texas. When i awoke i kept feeling that it was aimed for Houston - so when this all formed, i wasn't surprised- yet also was wondering the significance of getting dreams. Which is something that has happened to me for years... knowing storms coming .... physical, spiritual, relational and so forth. Anyway, hopefully we'll be able to keep the power on.. and not need the generator - (small one we have thanks to living through Ice storms in NC) - please keep us in prayer. Shalom Ya all!

House Guidelines.................

This might be a futile exercise... but have to put it out there.-
We've had many a Bedouin - ragamuffins- fellow warriors- artists (fill in the blank there) stay with us for seasons. (some short- some a bit longer) For the most part we just kinda deal with things as they unfold. But God's been nudging me to write a bit on general guidelines in community living and mutual respect of resources. It's hard sometimes, because people have different rhythms of living.
So living out this walk of fellowship, healing and visioning can be quite a task.
Adding to that, different cultures, personality types and the like can make it daunting some days and glorious others. So i'd really like to make this a group effort in understanding and communication.

so-- here is some of my part- that would help make my part in this passion play of life a little easier when people are staying..... (and MUCHO Thanks for those that have blessed us with awareness and extra hearts and hands- it's sooo appreciated - )

Please don't take this as a personal affront - we're all learning.. and this is some of my learning. Some of it may sound really basic, but age, experience, timing (when issues are up), all play a factor. I've failed miserably in some of this... so - gonna try and practice what i preach. Here goes...... hopefully SOMETHING>>>>>>>>>>

In general.... there is an OPEN DOOR Policy - meaning... we want this to be a safe space for those that need whatever God wants to do... that is the general template.
On the basics - Day to Day...... Phil and i both work- (day jobs.. in the general work force) so we are more than willing to spend quality time and share, listen, pray and be Present, when we are outside of that frame.

Some days are more full than others... so if you see me on the couch half asleep or watching something mindless.... it's cuz i need it. Just ASK- if i'm in a place to engage.

If it's a long night of engaging on deep levels... the dishes might be left till morning- but we have a dishwasher.. so please stick it there. A day or two of chaos is norm... but it impedes things too..... so PICK UP as you abide would be helpful. (little things like soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent and so forth- really helps on keeping things flow'in)

People need the norms... shower, laundry, eating, sleeping (well some of us - i'm a night owl) But i really don't want to be so anal that i have to write a list of chores.... if it's helpful on the awareness aspect... i'll write out some of the basics...................

Kitchen- if you cook it, clean it. If it's a group meal- and someone cooks and spends time loving and serving in that way, love back and help in the clean up.
If you have special food you don't want tampered with - LABEL it. If basics are OUT ... like milk, juice, cheese, bread, beer, wine- libations in general- it does cost money, so replenish please. If you see some good grub on sale... pick it up- all would benefit.

Bathroom (Loo)- Ok that one is my personal pet peeve - I usually have some bleach and a swisher... so the main bathroom (we have 2) - but only one has a bath. It is the HOUSE bathroom, meaning- just cuz you're staying here.. it's not a personal thing. I'm not big on scrubbing down the shower every time it is used... but if you using it more than most... please do so... at least weekly. If you take a bath... it's hygienically important to clean it after your done...
Tooth paste in the sink, hairs after shaving and all the spots left- are not particularly pleasing to the eye of a visitor and gives a poor impression in general. I did have one encounter- where the person felt lead by God to dye their hair a reddish thing... but then failed to clean up.. and it looked like there was a murder that took place or at least something out of the "Shining"-

It really only takes an extra 5 mins or so to do a general wipe down... including the toilet if you're MALE and tend to MISS- "morning glory" and sleepy haze withstanding... i really do understand that. Also, not every time you use a towel after a shower... it doesn't have to go into the wash... Texas heat and sun does a good job, and honestly, you're just wiping off water from a now clean body... so hang it outside and re-use it for a bit.

We have a sensitive toilet, so if your bringing a novel in there to read while you take a weeks worth of a dump... flush occasionally. I've had more than one mishap in that department- and i won't mention names! LOL!!!

Laundry- OK... it's needed.. and for the rest of us, it's good to not have your personal odor burning as incense in the house. That being said... if you had to go to a laundry mat... it would cost some DOSH! So water and electric has it's costs. Mind you we have an old washer and dryer.. and when i get the funding i'll upgrade, but for now... it's what we have Widows Mite..

THE VACUUM CLEANER- aka Hovering!- ok 99% of all dust and dander is HUMAN SKIN... yes, you read correctly! so the more people the more dust and dander... so we have an awesome vacuum cleaner that can remedy this (granted i know Selah my dog is a long hair.. and i've cleaned enough of her hair on the floor and little carpet we have... to stuff a mattress! ) But even if it's doing the main living areas weekly- it makes a huge difference.

Main living area- it's pretty big.. thankfully, but - general clean up is needed. Dust ( i have the goods to do it)- straighten and make it inviting would be my request.

Where you are crashing... YOUR mess is your mess, so please keep it contained. If your in a creative space... paints, music and so forth.... just keep it in semi-order. We don't want to stunt, limit, or hinder the creative process- just understand that living with others, means we have to step over things. When your in mid streaming... put it in a bin or in the garage... and do as needed.

Sleep stuff........ we are all on different work zones.... understandably so and honoured. So if those are sleeping... please do NOT slam doors, crash and bang pots... or go into loud intercession mode screaming in tongues. (that has happened... and while i'm all for joining in to see Kingdom manifest.... i don't need to enter in it with an attitude!) go pray loudly in the yard.... my neighbors are mostly believers and they will most likely bless it - more than call the police! IF there is deliverance going on and you need back up... come wake me up... i know that stuff has timing that is far reaching than what time it is on the clock.!!!

General bottom line.......... if you opened it ... close it... (that goes for prayer spaces too... run the drill, don't need some demonic thing around and about hammering others that didn't know you crossed into enemy camp!)
If you took it out....... put it back...... don't need to emphasis stewardship- least i hope i don't have to give flannel cut outs, diagrams, and directions.

Mostly, we are called to SERVE... and i promise to serve my heart out! But if you see something needs doing... just do it.

I'm all for fun, fellowship, kinship, heart spaces, healing, revelation, break thorough and Kingdom made manifest.... but it takes a bit to keep a tidy ship so all that stuff can happen.

We have a great state wide calling plan..- cable TV and Internet access.... and we cover the cost of those. I've got a good international calling pin thing... that needs topping off when it meets it's limit.- so it's there for the using.

We don't have endless supply of money and things cost.. not trying to hammer that issue... but honestly we are working on that end of things... and could use some help in that.

I'm not your mother, father or parental guardian per say... i hold some of those spaces in the Spirit....and though Derek will say i've got Dolly Parton's Boobs in the spirit, i'm not a personal MILK MAID.. as my dear friend Anna Porter says...

I put this out, cuz i don't want to be frustrated or harbor any bitterness for the pouring out. It's an honor and a privilege to be a part of your lives - as friends and in times of need and covering.

A dear friend asked me... why i use the phrase "under our roof"- for me it's simple, God granted us space to hold a big container for stuff that isn't on the norm of church encounters. What it does mean.... is that those that are staying.... take a servant's heart view and bless back the best they can.

Authority, is an often misused word and comes with all sorts of expectations...but when someone comes "under our roof" it means sharing in the Kingdom stuff that is cool and wondrous but the day to day can feel mundane at best. A room-mate pays rent... a house-mate means understanding what it is to Serve.. as unto HIM.

I'm sure there are tidy bits that need addressing or a good sorting through.. but that is the general "how two's and too's" Many hands make lite work or so i'm told. If you've got more insight it would be helpful to run a tighter ship that has more room for the wind of Holy Spirit to fill the sails.

Thanks for reading and listening ..........

shalom to all parts and much love on this journey into HIS heart!

September in Austin

Ok.... so it's been a few months in Austin. Bought a house... moved twice! Things already flowing... our friend John has been staying for a few weeks, and all his stuff is in the garage.. (wow we never had one before.. how handy!) He jaunted over the pond and got married to Caroline on Friday... really cool stuff. Andrew Jones (notorious one)- did the shin dig... and when they land back here in Austin, they will be staying here for a bit while looking for a home. So already- this house seems to be the landing point for a few things. Amy and Derek are in Antwerp mini vacation, and considering the full on flow this summer... a well needed one at that. So that means we're doing some things on the "honey do list"- but it's a joint effort. We are redoing our kitchen ... i'd love to trash it... and make it more functional and ergonomic, but funding is limited - so we are waist high in priming, paint, and a general mess.... but should be more US. Who ever did the paint job before did this reddish pink... more red than pink but high gloss.... so isn't inviting- more like i'd rather have a food fight cuz the colour is irritating! so we are on the painting thang! new colours, new expression.... got a few rooms to paint. but feel it's needed.
Jenna Lynn White is still out in Orkney with the Jones's - glad she's there, but coming back soon. so what we really need is some money.. to set some wind in these sails... so could use some prayers on that front... and if you feel like giving a gift.... email me.... PLEASE! Food, lights, water.... the basics need help. I usually don't post that on a blog ... but honestly ... for those of you that read this... it's needed ... and please pass it along.
We really deal with people in transition... safe place to land... breath... eat... create.... vision.......... not your norm on sunday morning. We kinda "MIND THE GAP" spaces. That might be the fund that we need to create so people can get a tax right off. But hey it's kingdom stuff... and write off's are great.... but don't think it was done that way before during Roman times.... it was hearts giving cuz they felt the need was worthy. NUFF SAID...........

Ok, so William Jordan will be in... soon and making a home here... YES we are the landing pad - again.!!!
And HOPEFULLY- our English friends will get their Visa's ......... and can make it their home. So there is a lot in transition... with all the stuff that comes with it.... the good, bad, ugly and BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

that's where we are at!
any advice... lemmy hear ya!

Shuddabudahunday- EggsAlaJesus-Herminisanunnick

Ok, this might come off as a "Kvetch" (and no that is not a word in tongues- check yer Yiddish)- but it's been pressing a bit for some time now. I've been wondering about the term that is thrown around in Emergent/Emerging circles... known as "THE CONVERSATION". Which for the most part i love, because that would be the ideal in a wondrous perfect world, that we could converse in this dialogue - pursing the "way of Jesus" and have that transcend into a missional dialogue of introducing relationship to God and His Bride. Bride being AKA "The Church" in all it's forms and facets- ( traditional corporate, home fellowships, love feasts, TRAINING TRAILS (yes, Shannon, like how i wedged that in there!), - basically, anywhere there are two or more gathered in essence and substance seeking His Will and Face.
That all being said, i'm really wondering about language in general.....

With all the "talk" of being church and doing church... I've been frustrated with language in the Convo....

This may not be a global thing, but it is here in the USA- an issue that i've had to confess and at times defend, when it comes to the actual words that are being used.

If it is indeed a conversation - then there shouldn't be a need, as there is in Charismatic settings on the "interpretation of tongues".... Words like exegesis - hermeneutics- orthopraxy- orthodoxy are all well and good in context and in a gathering of M-Div. students and collegues. However, when my husband, who is a highly intelligent male, feels like he can't come to a gathering, (like CoHorts) because he "doesn't feel like i fit there"- due to the word usage. I've canceled out a lot of what i had written, because i could have written for days!

If the "convo's" - and the all invite measure holds true ... for those who are seeking... then perhaps looking at how we are dialoguing might want to be addressed. If i brought a non-believer to some of the mtg's i've been to, i'd have to translate 75% for them, just so they might have a clue.

ps... i do love some of the deep stuff, even in discourse- but i'm putting it out there.
We might want to consider ............ Minding the gap spaces...........................

Shepherd's Rod 2008 Bob Jones & Paul Keith Davis

BOB JONES and PAUL KEITH DAVIS:

"SHEPHERD'S ROD 2008--PART 2"

"Presently, we stand on the brink of the most significant breakthrough of all--leading to the manifestation of a Body of believers who function as sons and daughters of God and do the works that He did."

A Carpet of Covenant

Next, Bob saw a carpet of many colors laid in the desert about eight feet wide. It was completely straight and provided a direct path to the "bank of the Jordan" in preparation for crossing over. There are two paths set before us, requiring that we choose wisely in the days ahead. The Lord is setting a course before us with a beautiful multicolored carpet of covenant to make the journey favorable.

On the other hand, there will be an Angel of the Lord withstanding the other paths and even speaking through "burden bearers" like Balaam's donkey in order to turn the misguided back to the place of God's provision. Numbers 22:24-28 declares:

"Then the Angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path of the vineyards, with a wall on this side and a wall on that side. When the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD, she pressed herself to the wall and pressed Balaam's foot against the wall, so he struck her again.

The Angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn to the right hand or the left. When the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam was angry and struck the donkey with his stick. And the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, 'What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?'"

These prophetic images portray God's provision to take us from our present position to the place of our greatest fruitfulness. If we remain on the path the Lord has orchestrated for us, we will discover fruitfulness, favor and a direct path to our destination. If we divert from it, we will encounter difficulties and delays.

This next season will require sensitive discernment and a willing heart to follow the Holy Spirit's leadership. As contrasting as a beautiful, soft carpet is with a hot, barren, rocky desert, so is the polar difference we will discover in doing things God's way as opposed to our own. One will be easy and direct while the other harsh and overbearing.

This time will provide greater opportunity for all saints to hear His voice more fluently, not just the prophets and seers. To fully participate, both personally and corporately, in the fresh outpouring, we must follow carefully the bearing God sets before us and not waiver from it to the right or to the left. The prophet Isaiah foresaw a future day declaring:

"Although the Lord has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, 'This is the way, walk in it,' whenever you turn to the right or to the left." Isaiah 30:20-21

Many of the "burden bearers" will be individuals who have encountered the Teacher and identify God's way and the beautiful carpet He has provided. The carpet is a symbolic indication of personal and corporate covenant. The Lord has promised to hold us by the hand and watch over us and bring us into the bond of covenant in order to restore the land and cause us to inherit desolate heritages.

In Bob's vision, it was important to remain on the carpet. Those who did, had the appearance of an army in perfect order and alignment. They were like a stream flowing through the desert with living water. All of our essential provisions needed for personal development and maturity were allotted on this path. It was also evident that we would have to make a conscious decision to leave the path to pursue another alternative, if we so chose. However, this would be a fatal mistake. Isaiah 35:7-8 declares:

"The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, its resting place, grass becomes reeds and rushes.

A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it."

The importance of remaining on God's path stems primarily from our need for greater development in personal character. This path is a highway of holiness! A grace is being provided for cleansing of our failures and the extraction of strongholds withstanding our highest calling.

This imagery highlights our path for the future. As already outlined, this next year will see the completion of many aspects of God's plan and the introduction of new ones. It will be a time of completion and a time of new beginnings.

From God's path, many people will be sent to the various nations with the message and ministry of the Kingdom. This path leads to the nations and a harvest of souls who will be equipped as harvesters. The awakening of the dawn will be the crossing over into a fresh new day. As one day is culminating, a new one is dawning.

Prior to the Day of Atonement, Bob Jones' wife, Bonnie, also had a confirming revelation. In a dream, she was on a journey. She was told that the destination was the Jordan River. When she looked at her ticket that gave her access to the train, she recognized the number on it as 888. This could be highlighting a certain season of the time around August 8, 2008--as a time of significant importance for this transition.

The most important aspect of these revelations is the bringing to completion of our preparation and the commissioning of authority and power essential to introduce the next installment of God's plan.

Furthermore, this will not be a season for observation but participation. All of our essential provisions have already been provided according to His riches in glory. Calvary has supplied every need for the Kingdom to be demonstrated in our generation along with the perfecting of the Bride without spot or wrinkle.

New Tools for the Journey

In the revelatory experience, Bob saw a large stockpile of tools and implements that had been discarded at the beginning of the carpet. This represented our willingness to lay aside various spiritual tools we have used in past seasons in order to prepare ourselves for the fresh and unprecedented. That is not to imply that we discard the elementary principles, but build on them in order to move forward into maturity.

God has something exceedingly powerful prepared for us. We must be willing to cast aside the good in order to implement the best. We have utilized various tools and spiritual weapons over the last season of time, but now many of those tools are outdated and obsolete. The Lord is opening His armory to provide new tools and equipment. The Lord said through Isaiah:

"You have heard (these things foretold), now you see this fulfillment. And will you not bear witness to it? I show you specified new things from this time forth, even hidden things (kept in reserve) which you have not known. They are created now (called into being by the prophetic word), and not long ago; and before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say, Behold, I knew them!" Isaiah in 48:6-7 (Amplified Version)

Formerly, we have had measures of success with various gifts and techniques that worked for a season. However, to be most fruitful in the coming days, we must remain spiritually sensitive to receive plans and strategies direct from Heaven. Bob observed a stockpile of old tools and weapons at the beginning of the carpet, and new ones given as people walked along this uncharted path.

If we insist upon holding on to the familiar, it would be like attempting to fight a modern-day war with Civil War era weapons. To say, "This is the way we have always done it," would be a fatal mindset that could lead away from the carpet of covenant into the desert, which is a dry and waterless region. We will be given the opportunity to obtain fresh manna each day as long as we remain in His ways. In some cases, the Lord is only going to give us enough trust to take the next step without seeing the totality of His plan. This will indeed be a faith journey!

The carpet ran through the desert leading us to the "Bank of the Jordan" to the precise place He has chosen for us to breakthrough and cross over. This next spiritual season will be both a time of completion and a time of commissioning. Many individuals that have been in a preparatory mode will see this season culminating and a new commissioning transpiring on this straight and narrow path that God has provided.

Even when mantles of individuals manifested in prior generations are captured by today's leaders, they will function in that anointing with a fresh new perspective. Joshua received the Spirit that rested upon Moses but displayed it in an entirely different way. Elisha wore the mantle of Elijah but utilized it with an altogether unique ministry.

Although we are still in the wilderness and haven't yet crossed over, we have a wonderful provision through the desert, which is a place of His voice. Everything we need will be provided on that carpet. It is a multicolored rainbow type carpet illustrating the Seven Spirits of God and covenant.

There is a new way being provided for this season. Each step will be a step of faith and dependence upon God's leadership. Only the righteous can walk this path and remain on it. The good news is the path was smooth and clear. If we continue in God's ways over this next season it will become very fruitful.

Restoring Desolate Heritages

Interestingly, many of the most significant things that transpired in the last generation took place in desert regions. There were numerous important visitations and revelations given in the 1960's in the Arizona desert with direct application to our present mandate.

We have a short season left in the desert, but it will actually be a very good time for the righteous. Our grooming will be brought to completion and a new commissioning imparted to prepare us to apprehend our desolate heritage. It will be a time for the literal fulfillment of Isaiah 49:8 saying:

"In a favorable time I have answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will keep you and give you for a covenant of the people, to restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages."

The Lord has been holding us by the hand and watching over us in preparation to become a covenant to the people and a light to the nations in order to restore the land and cause the people to inherit the desolate heritages.

It is a straight walk and one that we will continue for the remainder of this year until the next Rosh Hashanah in anticipation of what lies beyond. Although it would be wonderful to prophesy that we will walk in the fullness of our inheritance over this next year, we believe it is more accurate to identify this as a season of finalization in preparation and also commissioning for the crossing over; Joshua was commissioned on this side of the river in anticipation of leadership for advancement.

In this next season, many people will be commissioned with the "mantles" of others who have gone before us. There is presently an emphasis on honoring our spiritual fathers and mothers who provided leadership in the last great outpouring of God's Spirit. They were pioneers who overcame great difficulties to manifest God's Kingdom in their generation.

Although some experienced failures and made costly mistakes, the foundation they provided is our platform to launch the next major outpouring. This opens the door for the deposit of God's Spirit they carried to be appropriated to individuals in this generation.

In our own ministry, we have been emphasizing the importance of honoring healing revivalists such as A. A. Allen, John Alexander Dowie, John G. Lake, William Branham and others. Some of these have been the most dishonored individuals of the 20th century Church, yet used most notably in soul winning and the miraculous. Our adversary has effectively attempted to neutralize the testimony of these individuals as forerunners by overly emphasizing their shortcomings and weaknesses. Even so, the Lord is allowing a body of people to recognize the pioneering influence these individuals conveyed in order to position us to carry forward the unfinished commissions.

Spiritual gifts are the result of supernatural grace purchased at Calvary's Cross. Nevertheless, personal spiritual maturity can be costly, requiring that we buy from Him:

"Gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see." Revelation 3:18

It has always been the Lord's intent that we progress from Glory to Glory, but unfortunately, the Church has historically failed in this responsibility. Children should always start on a higher plain than their parents. That is the entire Biblical principle of heritage and inheritance. Proverbs 13:22 states:

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."

We are once again presented with an opportunity to apprehend our desolate heritages and appropriate them to our generation. Mantles of revelation and power that were introduced in prior generations are accessible. We must pay whatever price is necessary to achieve this place in God. The important aspects of this revelation are to highlight the "open door" opportunity set before us for this purpose.

The Lord has clearly demonstrated through these revelations that individuals will be visited by His Spirit over this next season for the purpose of "mantle" impartation. Many of the people soon to emerge in leadership are not presently known or recognized in broad public forums. Nevertheless, they are known in Heaven and have been prepared to carry notable deposits of revelation and power.

Therefore, this prophetic promise is to initiate our desperation to contend for this heritage. Our council is to position ourselves before Him, so that His Spirit can be released to us in much the same way that Elisha captured the anointing that rested upon Elijah.

Part of the revelations I had on the morning of Atonement dealt with our desolate heritage. In the experience, I found myself in a desert and mountainous region excavating an archeological site in hopes of finding treasures of great value. As I did, I uncovered ancient books containing revelations that were started by leaders of the past that are to be finished in our day. I considered these books of greater value than gold or silver. Some were older than others, but I knew this would be the completion of all mandates, commissions and promises.

This revelation speaks of our opportunity and responsibility to carry forward the task initiated by individuals of the former generation. Even as Joshua completed the commission of Moses, so also will we facilitate the fullness of unfulfilled promises.

Lovingkindness and Truth to Awaken His Glory

The desert is a place of visitation and impartation to be established in lovingkindness and truth. Psalm 57:7-11 states:

"My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For your lovingkindness is great to the Heavens and Your truth to the clouds. Be exalted above the Heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth."

Our present opportunity is to embrace this final segment of our desert experience to be fully prepared for what is to come. The Shekinah glory descended upon the Tent of Meetings and Moses was granted the privilege of meeting with God face-to-face for an extended period of time. Although Israel was not yet in the Promised Land, they remained in the desert in order to prepare them to occupy the land of promise. So shall it be in this day. This coming season will be a time of visitation and tokens of God's glory manifested among the righteous.

The righteous will bear the glory; there will be tokens of God's glory resting upon a body of people that will illuminate them to shine like the sun in the Kingdom of our Father.

Realms of Glory

Corporate meetings will experience realms of glory on a level we have not yet experienced in this generation.

We are entering the season of human history prophesied by Isaiah when he foretold there would be a Heavenly brightness shining upon the righteous in the midst of great darkness. It is by the Spirit of Truth that we will be illuminated as we share in the mysteries of the Kingdom reserved for this hour. Isaiah 60:1-3 declared:

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."

There is a "weighty" presence or Glory that the Lord intends to place upon His people during these last days as a testimony to the nations of His redemptive virtue. It is truly amazing that sinners saved by grace can be endowed with this commission and responsibility. As Daniel prophesied, "Many will be purged, purified, and refined...and those who have insight will understand." (Daniel 12:10)

The understanding this company possesses will be the mystery of "Christ in us, the Hope of Glory." It is only through this refining process that we are capable of manifesting His Glory in the earth without it destroying us. That is the importance of prophetic material like this one. If we have the understanding that the process we have been in is for preparation, then it gives us the hope of our calling. Without that understanding, we would be prone to discouragement, hopelessness and feelings of disqualification.

Another purpose for highlighting this reality is to equip the prayer and intercessory ministries with a key to unlocking this 21st century provision. It will be through prayer, praise and prophetic proclamation that we will contend for this reality. It will not be accomplished through human soulish striving, but by a revelation of the Spirit and the activation of our faith to speak in agreement with God's plans. As recorded in Job 22:26-28:

"For then you will delight in the Almighty and lift up your face to God. You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; and you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways."

The end result of this expression of God's Glory will be a notable harvest of souls beyond anything we have presently experienced in modern Church history. It will not only be a message to our nation, but also the nations of the earth; nor will it be administered or controlled by human agency, but by the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

The Glory Separates

Korah's rebellion was judged by God's glory. Numbers 16:19-21 outlines that:

"Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the doorway of the tent of meeting. And the glory of the LORD appeared to all the congregation. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 'Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly.'"

The "panel of seven judges" is to help separate truth from leaven, the precious from the profane; this must be a Holy Priesthood who have dined at the Lord's table. Only from this place are we able to separate the clean from the unclean. In the same way that Korah's rebellion was judged by the glory of God, so also will the seeds of rebellion be separated from within us as individuals and a Corporate Body!

The stress and turmoil in the world will continually increase as this present age reaches its completion and the Lord's Kingdom is prepared to be revealed. The confrontation between light and darkness will also escalate as evil will become greater. Likewise, the children of light must respond to offer hope and salvation through the Lord's redemptive work.

I recently saw this escalation in a revelatory encounter. In it, I saw a door being opened from the bowels of hell releasing a horde of evil spirits of a profound nature. I was actually able to recognize the characteristics of some of them. One had an appearance like Adolf Hitler and another like Joseph Stalin. I believe these represented evil spirits that functioned through these historical tyrants.

I watched as these evil spirits began to manifest themselves before people and train the individuals to walk in realms of darkness and evil--never before seen in our generation. It was as if individuals were being identified and equipped to carry "mantles" of darkness as foretold by ancient prophets concerning the latter days.

While this was taking place, I heard an audible voice say, "The children of Light must respond in like fashion." With that admonition, I saw angels descending from Heaven that were specially prepared for the end-time confrontation. They too were commissioned to meet with individuals through angelic visitations in order to train the people to walk in mantles of revelation and power.

The Lord's Kingdom that is characterized with righteousness, peace, and joy will become more pronounced within an overcoming Body of believers while darkness runs a parallel course of acceleration. While we are in this world, we are admonished not to be a part of this world's spirit. Light shines brightest during times of exceeding darkness!

Those who have yielded themselves to the work of God's spirit will be developed in righteousness and:

"Will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Matthew 13:43

The last few hundred years of Church history have seen numerous expressions of spiritual "breakthrough" that changed every following generation. God used Martin Luther with a breakthrough anointing to re-establish the reality that the just shall live by faith.

Following Luther, John Wesley and others advanced further with the message of sanctification and a breakthrough anointing that altered present understanding of the Christian life. We then experienced another breakthrough during the days of William J. Seymour and the Azusa Street outpouring; following that, came yet another during the days of William Branham and the Latter Rain outpouring.

Presently, we stand on the brink of the most significant breakthrough of all--leading to the manifestation of a Body of believers who function as sons and daughters of God and do the works that He did. This will be the only antidote for the darkness and evil that will permeate the coming years. Our current admonition is to embrace our opportunity for preparation and qualification for this responsibility.

This generation will see the greatest demonstration of grace never experienced and every indication points to its imminent reality. This generation will come forth with shouts of "grace-grace."

Vision for the Future

The Bible stresses that mankind will perish when there is a lack of true spiritual knowledge, and without a vision, the people are unrestrained and without order. Therefore, the Spirit of Revelation is a prerequisite to cooperate with God in this last day functioning of His plans.

To each of us is given a measure of faith; therefore, it requires spiritual vision for us to appropriate our faith towards the things that are of lasting spiritual value. The Lord is granting to us in this season fresh deposits of His revelatory anointing to provide clarity, insight and the true knowledge of Him. This will begin to sanctify us for the coming battle.

Recently, I heard the Holy Spirit say, "You can see things as they appear or you can see them as they really are." This admonition is challenging us to begin to see things from Heaven's perspective; that was the experience granted to Gehazi when Elisha prayed for his eyes to be opened. When the revelatory anointing was granted, Elisha's servant saw the mountains filled with Heaven's host that greatly outnumbered the enemy. Suddenly, his perspective changed from fear to faith, because of spiritual vision and seeing things from God's point of view.

Leaders will become increasingly aware of this opportunity and find great grace to train and equip a body of people to live in Heaven's revelatory realm. This also will go hand-in-hand with the functioning of the panel of judges who are being delegated to separate true prophetic utterance from the false.

There is an "occupying" anointing that is being distributed among us. It is one thing to experience breakthrough, but altogether another to occupy where the enemy has been displaced. We must be prepared and mobilized with a plan of occupation when we address various cities and regions. We are given the authority and dominion to occupy the areas for which we have spiritual revelation. Jesus said:

"When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding any, it says, "I will return to my house from which I came. And when it comes, it finds it swept and put in order. Then it goes and takes (along) seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first." Luke 11:24-26

This year's Shepherd's Rod highlights the importance of formalizing a plan of occupation by mobilizing the Body of Christ. Great grace will be given in this next season for training and equipping leaders who are not afraid to conquer and occupy the land for which they are given spiritual vision.

It is a sad reality to discover that many of the places that once experienced great spiritual victory have now become havens of darkness. Even so, our grace for this season is to take back that ground and remind the Lord of His promise stating:

"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you." Joel 2:25

Continued Extremes

Extreme weather patterns will continue in the days ahead in Heavenly places, on the earth, and under the earth. It will be contrasting extremes as a prophetic indication of the era in which we live. Volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and droughts will be taking place in various regions simultaneously. While one area is experiencing a drought, another will be in during floods.

One of the primary areas for which we must be mobilized deals with our need to take authority over these extremes. The earth has been delegated into the hands of mankind and the Lord has appropriated His authority through us to articulate His desire. We must learn how to speak to these weather issues from a position of faith and authority in the same fashion the Lord did on the sea of Galilee. Psalm 115:16 declares:

"The Heaven, even the Heavens, are the LORD'S; but the earth He has given to the children of men."

There have been numerous instances in recent years where key leaders have been sent into drought stricken areas in order to call for rain. This trend will continue! This will also be true with spiritual as well as governmental leaders. Recently, the governor of Alabama joined his faith with Bob and others for rain to come to our state. Shortly after the prayer, we had rain.

Psalm 108

This Psalm initiates a series of messages through King David, highlighting times of tribulation but also deliverance. A portion of this Psalm is also taken from Psalm 57:7-11, written at a time when David was pursued by Saul.

This Psalm also emphasizes the conflict that existed among Israel's neighboring countries; It seems to highlight an escalation in the conflict between the Islamic radicals and the nation of Israel. This once again punctuates our tremendous need for continued prayer on behalf of Israel.

Psalm 108--A song, a Psalm of David.

Verse 1:
"My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul."

We are presently entering a season that will be accentuated with radical faith and the unwavering reality that we are created in God's image. With that, we will sing praises from the depths of our soul to articulate the vastness of His redemptive plan and the miracle of taking sinners saved by grace and using them to manifest His Kingdom.

Verse 2:
"Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn!"

One of the most dangerous conditions existing in today's Church is the Laodicean lukewarm spirit. The Lord said this form of lifestyle makes Him sick and He will spew it from His mouth. This spirit promotes a sense of stupor, lethargy and apathy. Even so, this next season will see increased anointing on praise and worship to awaken us from sleep and ignite us with radical passion for the King and His Kingdom.

A new day is dawning and with it will be fresh creative realms of music and worship that will set ablaze the seeds of destiny resident in this generation of worshiping warriors. There will also be a notable anointing to help people recognize that the Lord is a God of redemption. He can redeem what has seemingly been lost and make up for lost time. The apostle Paul emphasized:

"Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light. See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:14-16

Verse 3:
"I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations."

Things that are being birthed at this time will be taken to the various nations of the earth. In many respects, we must broaden our vision to include, not merely our city or region, but the many nations around the world. This also highlights our need to become more compatible and receptive to different cultures and ethnic groups. We are born of one blood at an appointed time and must recognize God's gifts resident in diverse people groups. Acts 17:26 declares:

"He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings."

This next season will see many groups who are seemingly polar extremes apart nevertheless, come together for a common cause to advance the Kingdom. There will be an anointing and emphasis on this aspect of God's plan. We must begin to recognize one another according to the spirit more so than the flesh. There is a plumb line of truth that is going to be delegated in this generation. Many diverse groups will rally around that plumb line as a platform for spiritual unity. That does not imply that we relinquish our identity or cultural differences but incorporate them together with a spirit of harmony.

Verse 4:
"For Your lovingkindness is great above the Heavens, and Your truth reaches to the skies."

This is a year to discover God's lovingkindness and mercy along with His revelatory truth as we journey through this last phase of our preparation before a tremendous release of grace for advancement. We are to walk the carpet or path the Lord is laying before us. On it is every provision that we need to sustain us in life and Godliness.

The Spirit of Truth will begin to flourish in more pronounced ways in and among individuals and groups who are pressing in to encounter the Teacher and hear expressions from His lips. This will create the plumb line around which we will rally and attach our faith.

Our focus should be more vertical than horizontal at the present hour. As we turn our attention Heavenward, it will open realms of understanding and insight crucial for the journey. We must begin to see things as they really are, more so than the way they appear. This can only be achieved by viewing circumstances from God's perspective.

Verse 5:
"Be exalted, O God, above the Heavens, and Your glory above all the earth."

There will be measurable increases in the tangible Glory realized in our meetings when we wholeheartedly exalt the Lord above all things. Many books and messages have been made available that outline the wonderful expressions of power and Glory that existed in the prior generations.

There are many witnesses who testify of experiencing much greater realms of Glory in those days than what we presently enjoy. Nevertheless, that is going to change as we continue to meet God on His terms and walk with Him intimately like Enoch. There is a spirit of restoration being launched in this hour to recapture lost mantles and commissions. This will especially be true in the areas of healing and manifestations of the Glory.

The Glory is primarily associated with God's goodness. The Lord allowed His Glory to pass before Moses and He said it was His goodness. This will be a season to discover more ardently that God is good and His mercy endures forever.

We have entered a season of Church history that will be characterized with God's glory illuminating a body of people in the midst of great darkness. It will literally be a fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy stating:

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you." Isaiah 60:1-2

Our role and responsibility is to recognize this time and season and contend for its reality.

Verse 6:
"That Your beloved may be delivered, save with Your right hand, and answer me!"

The right hand denotes the faith of God; not merely having faith in God but possessing the faith of God. Many within the Church are oppressed, sick and immobilized with fear; this is the year to be delivered of these circumstances. Great emphasis will be placed in the coming days on deliverance meetings. Before we can set the world free from its oppressions, we must first be delivered from our own. This will initiate a wave of outpouring within the Church to prepare us to take this message to the world.

Verse 7:
"God has spoken in His holiness: "I will exult, I will portion out Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth."

Great emphasis will be placed upon the message of holiness at the present time. In its purest form, holiness is derived from close encounters with the Lord and intimate fellowship with Him. It is an impartation!

The priesthood was required to put on garments of holiness in order to perform their service and minister to Him. Likewise, we also are to be adorned in holiness to minister to the affections of Heaven.

Verse 8:
"Gilead is Mine, Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter."

Gilead = Rough, rugged, rocky region.
Manasseh = Causing to forget.
Ephraim = To be fruitful.
Judah = Praise.

The Lord is going to reveal Himself as the lawgiver and judge. This will be initiated through "Judah" which is praise. There is a message of divine justice that will take precedence in these coming days. Gilead is a rocky region and Manasseh means causing to forget the pain of our past. The Lord is going to render a verdict on behalf of the saints to prepare us to take possession of the Kingdom. Psalm 125:3 states:

"For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong."

Although we may be surrounded by many spiritual enemies, the Lord is granting the authority to flourish. We will begin to exercise that authority in the midst of our enemies.

"The LORD will stretch forth your strong scepter from Zion, saying 'Rule in the midst of your enemies.'" Psalm 110:2

Verse 9:
"Moab is My washbowl; over Edom I shall throw My shoe; over Philistia I will shout aloud."

There is much uncleanness in the Church that is about to be dealt with. The Edomites were a spiritual type of this condition. God is going to cleanse the land which includes us.

On February 25, 2007, my wife Wanda had a dream in which she heard an audible voice that sometimes speaks with her, which has always proven to be accurate. The voice said to her that there was going to be a hurricane on Rosh Hashanah to signify God's intent to cleanse the land. We shared it with many of our team and ministry friends months before Hurricane Humberto formed on September 13th and came ashore.

Days before Rosh Hashanah, there was no hurricane in sight. Incredibly, on the day before this Biblical holy day, a simple storm began to increase in intensity faster than any storm in recorded history and became a hurricane in 18 hours; it came ashore on Rosh Hashanah.

Wikipedia records that "Hurricane Humberto formed and intensified faster than any other tropical cyclone on record within 18 hours of landfall; developing on September 12, 2007 in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico, the cyclone rapidly strengthened and struck High Island Texas with winds of over 85 mph early on September 13. It steadily weakened after moving ashore, and on September 14, it began dissipating over northwestern Georgia as it interacted with an approaching cold front. Humberto was the eighth named storm and third hurricane of the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season, and became the first hurricane to strike the United States since Hurricane Wilma of 2005. Damage was expected to total out to less than $500 million in damage."

This was an absolute prophetic prediction to give us complete confidence and assurance that the Lord is giving us the grace to be cleansed and to begin the process of restoring our land. He is going to do a quick work!

Moab is our washbasin; God's army will walk on the promise of spiritual cleansing and the removal of humanistic leaven. It will be forerun by the pioneers and leaders. Bob saw many people on the carpet set before us by the Holy Spirit. Each one is being trained and prepared to provide leadership in this crucial hour of history.

Verse 10:
"Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom?"

This is the season that we will break through into regions and areas that have beforehand been inaccessible. Part of our responsibility is to agree with God through our prayer, praise and prophetic proclamation. Many of the intercessory prayer movements will be armed with this reality and find greater authority in their prayers to open doors that were previously shut.

This will take place by the impartation of His scepter, denoting greater spiritual authority. This truth will have multiple applications. Business opportunities that were not available before will now flourish, evangelistic regions will open up, and access to politicians and leaders will be made accessible. Many within the world will begin to ask spiritual questions for which you have Biblical answers.

Verse 11:
"Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God?"

This is a year of reverse; even our natural army fighting in the Middle East has experienced great losses and difficulties in their quest. Thousands of American and Arab lives have been touched by the Iraq conflict. Wonderfully, the Lord is promising during this Atonement season that He will go with our armies and tread down spiritual adversaries attempting to escalate end-time confrontations before their appointed season. This however will require our focus and intercession to bring it into reality.

This is a year of change in the Middle East. If we will respond to this call, America will be able to get out of this conflict with honor. Our current President has another year to go. If we will pray, God will redeem the time and allow great accomplishment.

We have a very real help as long as we stay in the straight and narrow way provided by God's path. When the righteous cry out for God's intervention in the affairs of man, we will see a notable escalation in this Heavenly release. This will involve both the commissions that have been given for the harvest, as well as political issues attempting to derail Heaven's agenda.

Verse 12:
"Oh give us help against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain."

As we petition Heaven, God has promised to answer the righteous and offer help against our adversary. We have entered the time for answered prayer and fulfilled promises. The Lord's extending a scepter to accomplish in His power what mankind has been incapable of achieving in our own strength. This will be a day of divine intervention! God will inject Himself into our lives and circumstances when we walk before Him in righteousness and holiness.

Verse 13:
"Through God we will do valiantly, and it is He who shall tread down our adversaries."

This will be a time of measurable victory and strategic positioning for breakthrough and advancement. We are being called to break through and occupy in the spiritual arena. The Lord is putting a word in our mouths and covering us with the shadow of His hand to do three things: (Isaiah 51:16)

1. Establish the Heavens.
2. Found the earth.
3. Say to Zion, "You are My people!"

The Lord is going to do valiant things through us by allowing us to articulate His words from an atmosphere of the anointing. When we do, it will establish the revelation of His Kingdom in the Heavenly places which will then be manifested on the earth. It will also be a prophetic call to the "Zion company" or overcomers to take their position of authority and eradicate the adversaries set against God's end-time harvest.
